My project focuses on the co-development and prototyping of a digital tool to support the wellbeing of ageing mental health peer workers. As the peer workforce grows older, workers can face unique challenges related to ageing, changing health needs, workplace demands, and the emotional nature of peer support roles. Despite their valuable lived experience and contributions to mental health services, the intersection of ageing, mental health peer work, wellbeing and digital technology remains largely unexplored.

Through co-development, this project works alongside ageing mental health peer workers to identify their needs, priorities, and preferences for digitally based wellbeing support. The aim is to develop accessible, practical, and empowering digital solutions with mental health peer workers aged 45+ to promote wellbeing, workforce sustainability, and continued engagement in meaningful peer work.
